Crossing the Bar

There’s a wideness in God’s mercy like the wideness of the sea; there’s a kindness in his justice, which is more than liberty, for the love of God is broader than the measure of one’s mind and the heart of the Eternal is most wonderfully kind. If our love were but more simple, we should take him at His Word, and our lives would be all sunshine in the sweetness of our Lord.

By Anne Bradstreet If ever two were one, then surely we. If ever man were lov’d by wife, then thee. If ever wife was happy in a man, Compare with me, ye women, if you can. I prize thy love more than whole Mines of gold Or all the riches that the East doth hold. […]
The light of God surrounds us. The love of God enfolds us. The power of God protects us. The presence of God watches over us. Where ever we are God is!
May the Irish hills caress you. May her lakes and rivers bless you. May the luck of the Irish enfold you. May the blessings of Saint Patrick behold you.
May the joys of today Be those of tomorrow. The goblets of life Hold no dregs of sorrow.
